HSE MANAGER

Prime International are seeking to place an experienced PROJECT HSE MANAGER, to work in the interior of the Oman.

Start date is ideally December, but could probably run into January 2015, depending on visa and your availability to start.

Work rotation in the interior is 2 month on, 2 weeks' off, with the leave period being paid.

Minimum Qualifications: NEBOSH Certificate

Desired Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5


Key Aspects of the position:-


The successful candidate must have proven track record with 10 years’ experience, ideally site / field based, in similar positions with excellent leadership skills.

The successful candidate will be required to manage and provided coaching and mentoring to a multinational work force.




The successful candidate shall be accountable for:-

• Fulfilling the requirements of the HSE policy and HSE plan in an advisory capacity,
• Detecting deficiencies and weakness in the HSE management system and advise the project line management as required,
• To provide support to the project team to strive towards continuous improvement, in order to achieve the set objectives and targets.


The successful candidate will be required to:-

• Monitoring Project HSE performance, and reporting the results to Management,
• Supporting operations, (training, procedures, safety talks, investigations),
• Defining the HSE Management system,
• Developing cultural HSE continuous improvement initiatives,
• Program and procedural development and implementation to assure compliance with corporate, client and government requirements,
• Demonstrating HSE leadership on an on-going basis,
• Implement HSE programs and controls at project level,
• Supply assurance statistics and documentation to corporate,
• Participate in corporate assurance process,
• Preparation of emergency response plans,
• Keeping in touch with relevant Client safety documents and emergency procedures,
• Maintaining liaison with client safety services,
• Participating in high potential incident/accident investigations, inclusive of Near Miss incidents.
• Monitoring implementation of HSE Plan through audits / inspections,
• Ensure the PM’s Target and Objective goals are achieving as per the time manner,
• Maintain the incident trending analysis tool maintaining properly to meet corporate performance standards,
• Able to coach and mentor HSE requirements to line managers; specifically supervisors / foreman and a team of HSE professionals.
